The Chautauqua Experience
Here is my unapologetic plug for the Highlights Foundation. I traveled to beautiful Boyds Mills near Honesdale, PA in 2007 for the Hero’s Journey workshop and to Chautauqua, NY in July of 2008. Talk about fun, fellowship and food! You are instantly adopted into the Highlights family upon arrival. I was great with child during my Chautauqua trip, and everyone bent over backwards to make me comfortable. The workshops are phenomenal and you get two critique sessions with industry professionals. If you are serious about writing for children or teens, you will LOVE this life changing experience!
